If the pump that was replaced is a Mercedes factory part (with the star logo on it), on it failed within a year, the dealership will replace it, and re-install it, at their cost.

Most people don't realize that all factory parts, purchased from a dealer, with the star logo on it, come with one year warranties.

It doesn't matter if the owner, an independent mechanic, or the dealer installed the part.

They are required to replace and re-install the part, free of charge.
