If I might add something to #1.) Be careful about running your bare hand over the surface of the tread. If the tread is "light" you may pierce your hand with a few "wayward" steel wires from the steel belts, poking up and through the tread's surface...best thing is to wear a pair of good work gloves when you do this...it's MUCH BETTER to snag cloth than skin...I should know!

AND, no MB owner should have the words "...should have...," "...could have...," and/or "...would have..." in their vocabulary...

Also, have a least one bulb, and fuse, of each type in the glove box or trunk...being pulled over for a missing brake lamp on one side or a missing/burnt plate marker lamp can make the evening either really long, really expensive or both. I've had the long version, was told it could have been expensive...
