Part should have MB Logo and part number and also a build date for the part. It should not be that different from the date of install (maybe a year or two) but if it says 5 or 6 yesrs then I would think its a used part.

Oh and I found my reciept it says I had this pump changed on 5/17/07 so about 10 months ago. Hopefully theres a warranty.
