I sucked out enough fluid to get below the fitting, then snipped the end off with a pair of side cutter "dikes". Slipped a new hose on and used a hose clamp for extra security. Then I bled the system with a pressurized bleeder (bled from the bottom up). Then I topped up the reservior with fresh fluid, and managed not to spill a drop.
