Yes it's an 1988 w124 260E, my mechanic just cleaned the cap and the car works now. By the way I only changed the fuel filters, not yet the tank filter and to the fuel distibutor and I just changed the fuel pump relay. Actually I'm planning to purchase a tank cleaner/coating from KBS, instead of purchasing a surplus tank. I think the source of this problem is the rusted tank, yeah I don't let the tank go beyond a quarter...
