I think you have reset the DM..The reset/clear procedure is to hold the button for 8-10 secs after a flash, so you may have done just that.
My recommend now will be to drive the car and monitor the CE lamp...if it activates again, do the exact code retrieve procedure I posted and get the results back to us.

Did the Smog guy tell you what he found for codes ?????
