You did fine...they'll work great for those little around-the-home projects. Just remember to test the spray pattern on a small, inconspicuous part of the project...even though it says it's only 1,600 p.s.i., that kind of pressure can still rip/shread just as easily as some of the bigger units...particularly the vinyl siding you're talking about...as for the gutters, get yourself one of those "gutter wands" instead...you don't want to be forcing a spray near your roof line...

I use the one I got on all the air-conditioning units and the heat-exchanger units I have at the transmitter sites...I got mine from MENARDS too...a "Blackcat" brand...I think the p.s.i. was the same...and again, I had a small "learning curve" that I needed to experience before I went after the fins on those AC/HE units...I didn't want to "fold over" the fins...sort of wrecks the cooling efficiency when the air can't flow through the units.

Also, remember to have at least some "head-pressure" with the water source...if I'm not mistaken, there's a pressure switch that senses the lack of pressure from the water source and it will not turn on. At my transmitter site, I have to bring water in, and I run the water to the washer with a small, 1/2 h.p. pump connected between the sprayer and tanks. That should be more than enough pressure to keep the switch engaged...don't rely on gravity, alone, to keep the pressure proper.

Good luck with your purchase...and remember, you got what you paid for...no more and hopefully, no less...
