Buckner was a great player. He did not deserve all the grief he got after the Mookie Wilson incident. The main thing I remember about that series was the way Buckner played his butt off, despite being injured. I don't remember what his injury was, but he was definitely gimpy.

I've always found your posts enlightening and thought-provoking.......but you're a 40 year member of the evil empire? Ugh.

I agree though.....the Sox still pissed away game 7, that's often forgotten by the media machine.....and they wouldn't have made it that far anyway without his gritty play.
