You are not the first one to get fooled with that fuse..very common.
That is why we always uses a test lamp on EACH SIDE of the fuse ...they can't fool that test....

Every Benz DIYer should have a good test lamp...for sure.......and they are short $$$ for even the real good ones.
A trick on the bullet fuses is to go to BOTH the fuse holder and the fuse ends b/c they are infamous for poor connections right where the holder
meets the fuses...a test lamp will pick that right up. So will a quick spin of the fuse in the holder.
