My Take:

(I like to post this from time to time as this very question resurfaces.)

This forum is run by a Mercedes Shop. If you need parts, they are a fantastic source. Click on the Fastlane tab at the top of the page. If you don't find the part you need, or if you have any questions, call Phil. He is extremely helpful and knowledgable about all things Mercedes. I cannot speak highly enough about the service he provides. (I'm not associated in any way with Mercedes Shop, I'm just an extremely satisfied customer, and someone who's very appreciative that this forum exists!) Sometimes the prices of parts here at MercedesShop are a couple of dollars more expensive than at some other online parts places. But those other places do not have a Mercedes parts specialist (Phil) available for phone/e-mail support. And they don't offer what you get from this forum: advice from professional MB techs. With MB dealer labor rates at $100/hour, that couple extra dollars is the best bargain on the net, in my humble opinion.

Keep in mind that if the revenue generated by the forum doesn't exceed the cost of operating it, then how can it be expected to be here in the future? (Answer: It can't.)

I don't know about you, but if this forum did not exist, I would not be able to own a Mercedes.

Support the people who support your community -- in this case, our community is this forum. See ya 'round the community, neighbor!

Regards.
