No, vented rotors and w126 calipers won't stop a w123 in a shorter distance- but they will resist heat much better. I've had over 10 brake fading incidents due to sticking calipers and it's not fun at all, much less to talk about safe operation. If you play a bit with the TC- you can get a engine that resists the return to idle- guess what... that stresses the braking system to it's (pun intended) breaking point. It's a definite upgrade, and mine will happen before the end of may.
