Aligning an older Benz is no big deal. As long as the alignment guy gives a hoot about his work, there shouldn't be any problems taking the cheaper route. Just make sure they have the "spreader bar". This is a tool used to exert outward pressure on the forward side of the front wheels while adjusting the toe-in. Ask if they have this tool. If not, go someplace else.
