Why not just feed it into the aircleaner intake? All that air goes into the engine, and the generator won't produce enough H2 & O2 gas to displace all the air the engine sucks in. As a side benefit, you don't' have to worry about water getting into the engine, although the micro-size droplets it is creating might be part of the benefit.
Keep good records of your fuel mileage results to see if there is actually any benefit. Don't expect anywhere close to what the sales folks told you, but there very well could be some real measurable benefit.
Ignore all the "its not thermodynamically valuable" comments. They are right, but there's a lot more going on in a diesel engine than simple thermodynamic conversion of fuel to oxidized fuel and work. More than half the energy in the fuel is being wasted, for starters.
