I always tell buyers that they can call and I will help them figure things out. Sometimes I hear from them and sometimes I don't.

The fellow who bought my 83 240/300 called me not too long after he bought it and said the clutch went out. I told him it had a new pp and disc and to check brake fluid level. The place he had the car was not expert and I had no knowledge of them as far as honesty. He told me that they said the car needed everythign and it was going to be 1500. I suggested he take it to the place that does all my work.

Well he did not listen to any of it and paid them 1500 or so and I am pretty sure all that was needed was brake fluid. I doubt that they did any actual work.

But most folks call with minor problems and I help hook them up with parts suppliers etc.

I have had many times that they call when the car needs a repair and offer it back to me. Usually though, I sold it because I didn't need it.

In the case of the 240/300 I ended up buying it back and I got it on the road this week and am having a ball driving it again. Its a sweetheart!
