Good for her.

I am still irritated at them for making a minimum weight for the drivers. She now is at a disadvantage at 100# because she is not as strong as the men.

(I wouldn't want her mad at me though!)

I just read the coverage on espn's website. There is a nice article referring to Janet Gutherie who raced at Indy and in Nascar and scca in the sixties and seventies. I met her up at Elkart lake historics a couple of years ago and have a signed copy of her book. She is a classy lady who was a hellofa driver. If she had had a chance in a first rate team she would have won back then for sure, IMHO.

Her book is a very very good read. I recommend it.

BTW she is about six feet tall with very very long legs. They had to modify her Indy car to fit them in.
