I don't get it so badly that I have to take heavy drugs. Keeping my wrist immobilinzed with a brace for a few days is sufficient. Happens with left and right. What's annoying is that I can't push with my wrists bent even when it doesn't hurt. I can do push-ups while holding dumbells but not on open palms. I've learned what actions to avoid so it doesn't flare up. I can still replace a cylinder head or transmission by myself if I plan my moves
