The science chanel had a similar program on with a woman who had sight as a child and then lost it so the key elements of sight were already logged into her memory. When the apparatice was hooked up she could see faint shawdows and see bright lights. The best was being able to see the outline of her husbands face for the first time, they had been married for awhile. Pretty cool stuff.
