I guess I'll chime in there, too, Pare'. As implied above, its a bit different dealing with issues like this in Manila. For one, businesses there do not usually have the resource to guarantee their work like they do here in the US. And rather than rely on the legal system, its best to talk and negotiate. I think you will get a lot farther with discussing and negotiating the matter.

With that said, it just too much of a coincidence for the chain to break right after the work was done. We can theorize all we can as to the cause but imho, it had to have something to do with what they did. If that happened here, it safe to say that the shop will make it right for you.

Where did you have this done? Was this the MB dealer? My brother-in-law brings his 260E and 190E to a small shop in New Manila. He seems to be happy with the work but I don't think he has had anything major done.

Correct me if I am wrong but because of how cheap labor rates are in Manila, not too many MB owners really tinker with their vehicles, right?
