I already mentioned this and got several suggestions, but none seemed to work for me.

I tried syncing mine to ITunes and everything on the I Pod was erased. The menus were still there, but all the music, albun covers, etc. were gone. I tried again and SOME of the artist names reappeared on the I Pod, but there was only one song under each of those. I Tunes seems to be fine. I checked to see if My Computer was recognizing the I Pod when it was connected and it was.

It seems like there must be some softare link between I Tunes and the I Pod that has gotten scrambled, but finding that would be way beyond my capabilities.
