I don't see how anyone who lived through the Clinton administration and the first part of the Bush W administration could still believe that the news media favors "liberals." Both Clintons were constantly pounded in the press during the 90s. So was Al Gore. Meanwhile, all the propaganda put out by the Bush administration was published on the front page of the New York Times as if it were gospel. And Tim Russert is Dick Cheney's favorite Sunday morning TV host. I don't know all the reasons that Russert gives Cheney such favorable treatment. First and foremost, I suspect that Russert found that having Cheney return to his show instead of the others helps Russert's financial situation. That's the most likely explanation of his bias, although I think he also tends to lean to the right.
