I call mine "The S-Class" or "the Benz", depending on who I'm talking to.

If I hear or say "Merc" (in the USA, anyway) I'm talking about a Mercury. I ahve driven three cars I referred to as "The Merc". Two of them were Grand Marquis, one was a Cougar.
