The problem on this post is this:
CMAC wants to show us that "iffy people" can change...
Politicians that put a hand on shoulders of the "iffies" can be stained by association...
"Iffies" can rise above the "physicalities" (word? sp?) of what they once were, and still preach "the good fight" - even if their ideas still ring "wrong" in the ears of the silent majority. After all, we're still a free country to able to speak our minds, eh?
"Iffies" can be put on PC-Produced (taxpayer-funded) pedestals of "higher Learning" (emphasis on the small "h") and be shown off to the lesser-educated, pablum-enriched, blame-meisters of the Left-side of reasoning, that the white-haired older gentleman is no more harmful than the politicians he's berating and tearing down on his taxpayer-supported lecture circuit tours.
Even if he only lit a few fuses, or helped tighten the cap on a pipe-bomb, he should still be forgiven because of time. Afterall, his acts can reasonably be assumed to be "patriotic" in the sense that they helped keep more Americans from going off to war. Whereas, a politian giving the order to "...carpet-bomb..." or those piloting the Enola Gay are to be held accountable for bringing humanity to the brink of complete destruction, even though those same politicians managed to ACTUALLY keep more Americans from dying in those wars.
That's the problem here...two sides are arguing the same thing...we'd like the war to end...but the end result would be we have two diametrically opposed forces left to rule...communism or capitalism...one wants to wipe the other out, the other wants to buy the other out...
I opt for the one that doesn't PHYSICALLY KILL me...
Commies kill Capitalists with bombs and poison and gulaugs...
Capitalists kill Commies from the inside out - commies can't handle anyone enjoying money and filling out tax returns...
When the Capitalists use the bigger stick than the Commies have (Bombs-vs.-sticks), the commies use the "...look at how the big, bad capitalists treat us..." schtick... However...
Turn your back on the Commie...they'll stab you just as dead as you'd have them...
Why do MANY MORE PEOPLE flee communism than the other way around?
And, don't show me how nicey-nicey communism really is...if it were the "utopia" that the lefties THINK it is, why would so many commies "jump ship" when they are "allowed" to come out of their countries and participate in sporting events and the like? Why were there so many regular, everyday, commies willing to DIE to get out of East Germany? Poland? Cause Marx, Lenin and Mao (sp?) were such great thinkers/enablers?
And we, the true free-thinkers, still have a hand-full of nutcakes that think that somehow, Communism (and the freaks that still espouse its "religion") is, maybe, a viable alternative to reality?
If you think that corn/soybean production for Ethenol is a wack-program that didn't involve a whole lot of brain-power in the consideration of the downside of such a program...let's just throw a bomb (Pun REALLY intended here!) into having a "Politi-Commie" start scrambling any reasonable thought process left in Washington DC and we'll see the end of the US in less time than it takes a politibureau to decide how to screw in an incadescent light bulb...and that's assuming the "greenies" haven't already managed to get them all banned, to be replaced by Mercury-tainted CFLs. How's that for a short-term solution, long-term ecological-disaster, government-mandated decision?

Should BO fire his handlers for not "shielding" him from Ayers?
Who knows? Maybe they TRIED to shield BO.
Maybe BO told them, "Back off, I want to see this guy..."
Maybe BO is that stupid and has morons around him that didn't do their homework and protect BO from himself...
Then again, maybe this might be a small peak behind the curtain of the way BO would be running his administration if he gets elected president...
If it is the latter...I now know, for sure, that the Democrats have their heads so far up their @55es with this guy, they might as well be ordering breakfast for tomorrow 'cause they can see the future right now...
