Using P/S pump pulley for valve adjustment question.

Notwithstanding my prior post regarding p/s pulley noise on 240d, is there any problem with using p/s pulley to rotate crank for valve adjustment? (My noise problem pre-existed recent valve job).

Important issue for me b/c my motor mounts are bad(low) such that there is no/very limited clearance at bottom of shroud to access crank bolt and using p/s pulley sure makes it easy.

Also, I have starter jumper switch. but didn't have recognizable electrical set up at fender (from searchs) for starter wires (the purple wire that the 300d'ers referenced in junction box on top of fender well. Although, there is a purplish wire connected to the starter in what appears to be unaccessable location for purposes of connecting jumper wire).

If p/s method OK, I guess jumper issue is moot. However, any help from the 240d'ers sure would help for next adjustment.

Thanks in advance.
