Couldn't have said THAT part better myself. Our fear and ambition in Vietnam was our problem way more than it was theirs. Wasn't theirs at all, in fact, lessen you count the problems they incurred from it.

However, my point about dueling opinions on 'nanny state-ism' is spot on, IMO.
