From what you describe it doesn't sound like you damaged the thread. You should be able to rotate them even when they are installed.


Take tire off. I think you still want to take the tire off though. It was a little tricky for me to line everything up solo. If you had a helper hold them in place while you maneuver it may be easier.

The lower bolts are a little tricky to line up when I did it solo...
