I replaced the secondary fuel filter maybe a year ago, and just changed the primary (which was shot to my knowledge). It seems weird to think it could be something serious with the top end or the valves, as it has plenty of power on the low end. It runs well, sounds fine, and has never had any issues. This started somewhat recently, but my lack of highway driving made it difficult to notice it. I am going to replace the secondary again just for peace of mind, but any ideas?
Sounds like fuel-starvation...
I would start by replacing Both the main and the secondary filters, and checking out the filter gauze strainer in the fuel-tank....

Then if there's still problems, investigate for any air leaks or lift-pump problems....
