Hello all. I am so happy to have found this forum. I have a 1981 240 D with auto transmission, has the wheel for the AC..and I'm not sure if I have power door locks or not...lol. Anyway...I thought I was gonna need a new tranny untill I read these posts. Now I am convinced that it is a vacuum problem. Whoever had this car before me has 1 of the lines under the hood plugged with a golf tee, I have 2 black lines running in thru the firewall...1 i guess just goes to nowhere...the other...who knows? The 2 lines hooked to the ignition are in the right place i think. 2 yellow lines are under the carpet...maybe to the door locks? Can anyone help me to decipher this maze of vacuum lines?
