This may be an overly broad statement, but I'm guessing that every Philosophy of Religion class at every university in the US discusses the teleological argument for God's existence which is the traditional name for ID arguments. The fact that this occurs by itself seems to disprove the claim that freedom of speech is being denied to ID'ers. The fact that ID is not discussed in Economics classes, or Calculus classes or Biology classes has nothing to do with a lack of freedom of speech and everything to do with the division of labor in the modern university. It's been many decades since scientists were expected to teach metaphysics.
