my 87 190d(2.5) has a "ball" connector behind the ip-without anything connected to it, not even anything near it. it is "shiney" or clean as if something used to be connected to it.(everything else looks like the 171ooo mi on it) it moves with throttle movement. this ball stud is toward the front of car, there is also one to the rear of ip with a connection on it, that looks like it goes towards the transmission(bowden cable)--not confused with the bowden cable/bellcrank near the egr, that goes to trans. any ideas?....jerry
