Well I actually had something similar happen to me the same day I got my car, I noticed that it was a little tricky to get it to the start position but I brushed it off "it's an old ignition so it's not perfect right?

" WRONG as soon as I got home it would not budge, moved the wheel and nothing. I thought I was stranded but a few more tries and I got it to get to the start position. After that it worked great! Then it just gave out totally when we had our mechanic check it out. It just would not budge, it was weird too becasue it worked perfect the start before.... The same thing happened to my 300E too. Hopefully yours won't go out like mine did but just keep an eye on it, if it starts to get real testy take it in and have it insepcted, before it unleashes its fury of a 400$ fix as I needed. sounds like yours is pretty chill though so it shouldn't give to that much trouble, just keep an eye on it! Hope this helped
