Hmm...thats a lot. Perhaps we'll stick with a 617. Anyone have a lead on a good used one? The one in the car has 313k and while it runs, it has a dead piston and needs a rebuild.

A guy down the road from me has an aborted 85 turbo 617 on a manual trans into a 240D. A project never completed but it is running. He wants 750 for the engine and 4 speed trans. You can find it on craigslist Milwaukee under parts. i looked at it but it was more work then i was interested in.
