Well, the 2000-on models are much better than the earlier ones, so she's on the right track.

Biggest thing to advise her of is she's buying a car that will be a failure for her unless she commits to having it regularly serviced by a good dealer or good independent mechanic that has Mercedes experience.

Have her get a PPI.
