Hey everyone Im having some heater/ ac issues and i was wondering if anyone can help me in the right direction.

My heater has worked very well this passed winter, as i had a faulty mono valve which, when replaced, blew nice and hot from the turn of the key.

Its not in the upper 90's here and i can go through this summer without a/c.

When Im driving, and i set the the climate control guage to cold, i then press the compressor on button, nothing happens. There is no cold air in the vents, blower does not blow.

Furthermore, if i press the defrost button, I begin to get hot air in the vents but does not blow.

If i were to not engage the a/c and simply engage the defrost, it will BLOW strong and hot.


If i do not turn the car on, simply put it in the ON position, the ac will blow cold, but as soon as i turn the key it will shut off. I was thinking about doing a conversion to R-134 since my local mechanic is trying to bend me over to refill with r-12.

Someone help me before i melt!
