Its jsut that, with mynlimted mech exp, ( none on these machines), you usually felt a bolt "seat", then stretch to the TQ setting. A few never "seated".

NEXT ANOMOLY> So I lube the cam bearings in the saddle/tray, clean the cams and lay them in, go to clean the cam "caps"......

Oh looky, no bearings on this side....???? What!?

I dont have bearing shells lying all over the place, and only ONE cam bearing cap has a bearing.

More fun than a man is allowed to have. And there's an Audi wagon down the street for about $$ as I have in my savings account......

back to the FSM and this board to 'splain this next ANOMOLY!!! I wondered about it when I disassembled, but reckoned the oil skein was keeping me from seeing the bearings. Yeah, what bearings? One must assume there arent any, OR someone's been here before. No undue wear on the cams at all, although the toe of the lobes is a bit shiny.

I gotta tell ya, my day job, "runnin' money", seems like child's play next to this... better get my carcass to church and say a string of Hail Mary's. !
