I've never had DTC#3 appear. I have had #6 appear frequently, but it shows up without the problem occuring (light on, limp home mode activated). Only #2 would appear when problem occured.

I agree! I did change S9/1 (stop lamp switch) but that did not cure the problem. Just two days ago I changed S16/3 (starter lockout/backup lamp switch) but I haven't put enough miles on the car to see if it's cured. Unfortuntely (or fortunately, depnding on your POV!) the problem only happens at WOT, and maybe 1 out of a dozen WOT runs.

OK - this confuses me. How could the (Trisco?) Palm Scanner pick up a code that the AST Retriever did not? I thought the mega-buck AST unit would read absolutely everything the Palm could, plus much more??
