With out haveing some sort of setup to measure the power that is comming out of the rear wheels and what RPMs it is happening at there is no way to really know what non-stock timing would get the best results.
Also, with different degrees of wear and other differances in each individual engine what works well on my engine may not be so good on yours. Made up example: lets say my IP was timed at 28 degrees BTDC (drip method) and my engine hums along with that setting. You inspect my car and you find out that I have more than 4 degrees of timing chain stretch. If someone with no timing chain stretch uses my 28 BTDC setting they may be very unhappy.
