Belt Question on my 300SD

I just cut into my upper oil cooler line with the power steering belt due to a broken motor mount on the driver side. Oil went everywhere.

I have it parked right now and am performing A LOT of maintainence.

I decided to do a valve adjustment as it was almost time. I got everything ready and went to turn the power steering belt bolt to get the lobe pointing up. The PS side of the belt was turning but the motor side was just slipping. I tried tightening it. I even took the belt off and cleaned everything. No change. It still slips at the engine.

What am I missing here?

The PS side is spinning the belt so there is nothing going on there.

Here are some things that might be factors...probably not but worth mentioning:

Oil is out as I'm waiting for the cooler lines to get here before I put new oil in.
Left motor mount is cracked.
Compressor belt and compressor are off the vehicle.
I washed and degreased the engine with Simple Green about a week ago.
Belts are not cracked at all.

Hmmmmm....

Thanks!
Ryan
