My EGR is under the intake manifold and out of sight... I would consider removing it how ever the newer cars sense when the EGR does not actuate so just leaving it in place and blocking the exhaust outlet and EGR inlet seems to be the simplest solution....
Hoping someone familiar with the newer cars would be able to confirm or provide a better solution...
