Why would it make any difference whether or not a country is the aggressor or not? Or are you advocating division of Iraq or of nuking Iraq?
You might recall that wars have been fought many times before. Sometimes to resolution and sometimes not. In my estimation, there is no generalization worth a damn because the details are extremely important and to ignore them is to blind oneself.
