Hello,
Today I was driving my 1985 300d on the freeway for arround 15 minutes at arround 70mph then I exited the freeway and when I was on the freeder road and the light on the intersection is red I begun stepping on the brakes but there is something wrong with my breaks it will not stop . I have to step on the brakes 5 times for the brakes to like stop seems like the is no pressure on the brake booster. Then I just pulled over to the strip mall and parked my car. I called my office mate to pick me up to get back to work. this was about 1:00pm. Then I have my wife pick me up arround 5:00pm , 3 hours latter to go back to my mercedes to have it towed. When I was there I started the car and drive it a little and the brakes seems ok again. I checked if there is vacuum leak on the line that connects to the brake booster but there are no vacuum leak either, The brake fluid is full. There is no brake fluid leak on the calipers either. My question is: Is this a brake booster failure of is this a brake master cylinder failure or both. Please help.
