take your time, i cut a piece of cardboard to put against the radiator to prevent damage, than unbolt the fan and lay it against the radiator or remove it for more room, but leave thr cardboard against the radiator to protect it, use some PB blaster or any other rust penetrating fluid on the bolts, once bolts are out you may need to gently tap the pump(with small hammer) to get it out...be sure to get a new GASKET (not o-ring) as originally thought  , with the new pump..
