There is a link above, for a newer transmission, but for the most part, the procedure is the same. You will find a drain plug on the bottom (allen wrench needed). Drain the fluid through it, first. Then you can take off the the pan itself. From that point on, you will recognize the filter itself (when you compare it to your new one). What is nice, is that these come with nice thick rubber gaskets, instead of the american style thin paper gaskets. Once you have everything back together, you should take care when tightening the pan bolts to their proper torque - don't go around too many times, as you will squish the gasket, compromising its sealing ability.
BTW.... you might want to decide wether you want to drain the torque converter or not - the above mentioned article, has info that applies to your model trans as well.
