Clicking

One of the new CVJs in my '85 300D-T (W123) started clicking after 500 miles into a trip last summer. Steve at CVJ told me (via long-distance phone from Winnemucca) that one of the balls in the joint might be popping out of place and then popping back into place. He said to ignore the noise. I was nervous but continued the trip (not much else to do) and 500 miles later, the noise stopped. Almost a year and several thousand miles later, the noise has never come back -- go figure.
