Has my computer been hacked?!

My internet was not working so I call tech help and of course I get transferred to India. The tech guy seemed like a nice guy and he helped me fix the connection. The guy then says, let me call you back and I will help you with the cluttered start-up menu I had complained about. He calls me back (why does he have to call me back?, it was the same phone number) and gets me to go to "login123.com". I go there and a window pops up and he tells me to enter 6 digits. He them has control of my computer! He's moving my curser around, changing things, my "spybot" program keeps flashing up, he says I have to close it. He's looking at the different programs I have asking me about a "virtual earth" program that is just a copy of Google earth from Yahoo. This is a tech guy asking me this? I am uncomfortable with this all along, and I finally say thats enough and close down the browser. Now that I think about it, it seems he was trying to stall for time (while the Trojan loads?) This is a busy call center, why the hell is he asking me about Virtual Earth?

So, I am now on hold trying to speak to a tech guy in North America.

Any ideas?

PS ten minutes on hold gets me to a supervisor in....India. I ask to be transferred to a tech in Canada... still on hold
