W126 1989 300SE Voltage regualtor replaced, pics

The 7 yr old Interstae battery went south about 2 weeks ago. Jumps would not hold. Car would still die after a while. Bought new Interstate battey locally.
Installed new battery and tested charging system with expensive teater. "GOOD". Battery went south. Did not take to trickle charge either. Got replacement battery from dealer.

Removed voltage regulator from alternator. Bought new one from Phil at this forum's Fast Lane. on Monday. Got part on Tuesday, the next day.
Installed part and so far so good. Monitoring battery for overnight drains in case of bad circuit (before I do multimeter on all fuses).

See picture for comparison of old used brushes and new part !! Dramatic.

THANKS PHIL FOR BEING CONSISTANTLY GOOD !
