Have you tried re-synching the window motor? Just hold the switch for a few seconds after closing the window in the manual mode. If you've done this and the window still doesn't work properly, the window motor is probably at fault. A good way to diagnose this correctly is to listen carefully to the motor while it's raising the window. The motor armature usually ends up with a worn spot after a few years of use. You can hear the change in the sound the motor makes as it passes this worn spot.
