1995 W124 E320 wagon Check Engine codes 2, 6, 17

The "CHECK ENGINE" light illuminated on our 1995 E320 wagon with ASR (HFM electronics).

The vehicle has the 16-pole Diagnostic Connector with an LED.

I pulled the following number of blinks:
2, 6, and 17

I have two manuals for both analog and digital fault codes for the HFM M104 engine.

Which one do I use to decipher (analog or digital) ?

If analog:

2 = Engine coolant temp. sensor
6 = Not Used
17 = Injector, Cylinder

If digital, do I use the "OB15" or the "MB" key:

OB15
2 = engine coolant temperature sensor, open circuit
6 = hot film air mass sensor signal too high
17 = ISC (idle speed control) at upper control stop area, malfunction

MB
002 = engine coolant temperature sensor, short circuit
006 = intake air temperature sensor, short circuit
017 = throttle valve potentiometer drive value implausibly high

Thanks,
:-) neil
