You need to T into the line going to the transmission. That vacuum level should be less and is controlled by orifices and the VCV on the IP. On my 300D is is about 8 at idle and drops quickly to 0 as the engine revs. Do a search for more info on transmission vacuum for 123s. There is one major thread and several others. Watch for replies from Sam Ross and Brian Carlton.
