The type of tires that are needed depends on what part of the state your moving to. Northern areas you might want some type of snow tires for the winter and a set of good radials for the summer months. Southern areas of Ill., you could probably get by with good radials or all-season tires. To play it safe, I'd get a good brand of all-season radials and hope that the snow is not heavy next winter. As mentioned earlier, I have two sets of tires on rims, Snows for winter and Dunlap radials for the summer.
