It's one of those deals where if they feel like getting you for it they can. There's no "open container" law in CT per se, even while driving a car, but it comes with the caveat that you can't be seen consuming it. Once you're observed under suspicion of BUI/DUI it's another matter. Although now that I think of it, that may have changed recently. I'll have to check into it.

I generally save my drinking for the dock or anchor but will enjoy one under way, dressed in a koozie, if the mood strikes.
